Crossword ornament
The family ornament where everyone's name crosses everyone else's, on lettered tiles. It works out the interlock, scores the grid onto a hanging blank and engraves the letters and their values.
Type the names. Each one after the first has to share a letter with one already down, and it tries every name as the starting one to fit the most in.
The tiles are scored, not cut, because a grid of loose squares is a bag of squares. A seam two tiles share is drawn once, so the laser does not go down it twice.
It sits on a blank, from the same fifteen the tag maker cuts from, with the hole to hang it by set into it and the family name and the year underneath. Those two lines are a caption and are held smaller than the names. Anything that would not interlock is named rather than dropped.
