Measure the distance between two heads
On a two-head machine the software needs the exact gap between the heads, so both cut in the right place and the moving head stays clear of the frame.
The steps
- Set the machine to two heads in the profile.
- Fire the red dot on the first head and mark that point on the bed.
- Move to the second head and mark its point.
- Enter the measured gap. The software offsets the second head by that amount.
One real job
The two heads sit 222mm apart. You measure it once and enter it, and both heads cut their copy exactly, with the moving head kept clear of the frame edge.
