Setting up the cameraLesson 1 of 8
Set up the camera, start to finish
A camera lets you put a design exactly on a piece of scrap, an odd offcut, or something already printed. One button sets it up, and the steps depend on where the camera rides.
Fix the camera so it cannot move. Everything after this measures where it is looking from, so a lid that wobbles undoes the work every time you open it.
Tell the app where the camera rides: moving with the head, or fixed above the whole bed.
Riding the head, setup is one job: engrave a dot and the machine calibrates itself around it.
Fixed above the bed, it is two jobs: wave the printed card, then engrave the marker target.
Prove it before you trust it: draw a box round one marker and mark it lightly. If the box lands on the marker, you are done.
