Making things that fit togetherLesson 6 of 16
Box generator
Get every panel of a box, finger-jointed and laid out ready to cut.
Start with the box you want: how wide, how deep, how tall.
Each panel is drawn flat, with teeth that mate the panel next to it.
Cut the sheet and the panels press together into the box.

A sliding lid runs in a groove and needs no hinge or catch.
Rounds inside corners so a square tab seats fully.
Bolts the corners with a captive nut, so the box comes apart again.
How many fingers. 1 is normal.
Each spans the full depth. Compartments come out equal.
Row dividers, each spanning the full width. Compartments come out equal.

Sheet height the panels are laid out on
What it is
Type the box size and get every panel finger-jointed and laid out, ready to cut. Sizes are the outside of the box unless you say inside, which is what to use when the box has to fit around something.
