Making things that fit togetherLesson 3 of 16

Press-fit slot

Cut a slot another panel presses into and stays in.

1

Start with the panel and the piece that has to go into it.

2

The slot is cut a touch narrower than the piece, to allow for what the beam takes away.

3

The piece pushes in snug and holds without glue.
