Cutting and engraving wellLesson 8 of 19
Shared cut plan
Two parts edge to edge share a cut. Running it twice scorches both of them.
1
Where the parts touch, the seam is drawn twice, so the beam runs it twice.
2
Every seam is cut first, while both of its parts are still held by the sheet.
3
Each outline then starts in a kerf that is already open, so it needs no pierce.
Every setting
1What each number in the dialog means, and where it starts.
Tolerance
Treat edges closer than this as the same edge (mm)
What it is
Where parts sit edge to edge, cuts the seam once, runs every seam before any outline so nothing comes loose early, and starts each cut in a kerf that is already open so it needs no pierce.
