Frame before you cut
Framing walks the head around the job with the laser off, which is the only way to know where a part lands before it is cut into the sheet.
The steps
- Press Frame. The head traces the box around everything that will cut.
- Shape frame traces the outline itself, which is closer for an odd shape.
- Loop keeps it running so you can walk round the machine and look.
- Move the design and frame again until it sits where you want it.
One real job
An offcut with an awkward shape. You frame first, see one corner hanging over the edge, drag the part 20mm and frame again.
